You can use the Graphic Gap Match interaction to create drag and drop items with gaps (cloze banks) on an image. Available gaps will highlight in dark blue when the student moves a dragger to identify appropriate match groups and turn light blue when they can release a dragger into the correct gap.
See Author or Edit a Test Item for general instruction on item creation.
- From the Editor tab, select Add Interaction, and then select Graphic Gap Match.
- Under Configuration, upload an image and set its dimensions.
- Use the sliders to adjust the position of each gap on the image.
- Under Choices, enter answer choices.
- Enter a value in Max Match for each answer choice to indicate how many times that answer choice can be dragged into any gap. You can set a max match on each gap so multiple draggers can be placed in one gap.
- Under Scoring Settings, enter a value in Max Points.
- Under Correct Response, drag and drop the answer choices into the correct gap(s).
- Select Save.
Scoring Settings
Check Allow correct Choice in any Gap to award points when the correct answer choice or choices have been placed in a gap.
When using Partial Scoring, enter a point value in the Points column for each answer choice.
