The security certificate for Proctor Caching has expired. During the weekend of June 7, 2014, Pearson will update the security certificate used to sign the Proctor Caching applet.
Starting Monday, June 9, users will be prompted to permit the Proctor Caching java applet to run the first time they launch Proctor Caching.
Follow the instructions below to permit the Proctor Caching Java applet to run the first time Proctor Caching is launched and to ensure that the warning screen does not appear again.
Log in to PearsonAccess and go to Test Management > Manage Test Sessions.
Open a test session and click Proctor Caching.
3. When the Proctor Caching java applet attempts to download, the warning screen below will pop up.
(Exact screen appearance varies depending on operating system version.)
4. When this screen appears, select the Do not show this again for apps from the publisher and location above check box, and then click Run to continue to Proctor Caching. This ensures that the warning screen will not appear again.
Users that do not accept the security certificate will see an error message. These users must close the browser entirely and complete the update before they can use Proctor Caching.
