You can use the Inline Choice interaction to create fill-in-the-blank items. This item type supports AI Content Generation, if enabled.

  1. From the Editor tab, select Add Interaction > Selected Response > Inline Choice.
  2. Under Text, enter or paste in text. 
  3. Select Insert Inline Text to add selection menus as needed. 
  4. Under Choices, select a correct answer for each response.
  5. Under Scoring Settings, enter a value in Max Points. See also: Set Up Partial Scoring.
  6. Select Save.
