Proctor Groups are groups of students assigned to test under the supervision of a specific proctor or test administrator. They help organize and manage testing sessions, provide students with the correct test access credentials, and give proctors a way to monitor testing progress from the Proctor Dashboard.
What Proctor Groups Are Used For
- Assign students to a specific testing session or room.
- Generate a unique Test Code and Proctor Password for the group.
- Create and print student test tickets.
- Allow proctors to access the Proctor Dashboard and monitor student testing progress in real time.
- View student accommodations and testing status.
- Move students between groups before or during testing as needed.
How Students Get Into a Proctor Group
ADAM supports several methods:
- Uploading a CSV file of students.
- Creating a group and adding individual students.
- Automatically creating groups from a teacher's class roster.
- Using default proctor groups configured for a school or administration.

Important Note
For many administrations, students initially appear in an Unassigned group. Students typically must be placed into a proctor group before they receive a test code and can access their assessment.
